Dalton Cares: New Nonprofit Partners, Same Dedication to Giving
Giving Tuesday is a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together with kindness, generosity and a shared purpose to support those around us.
At Dalton, this spirit is at the heart of Dalton Cares, our community giving initiative to build on over 30 years of dedication to strengthening the places we call home. Through this program, we’ve channeled the collective efforts of our employees to uplift and support the communities we serve. A cornerstone of this effort has been donating brand and communications services to nonprofit organizations in Atlanta, Jacksonville and Nashville.
In recent years, we’ve had the privilege of partnering with organizations committed to a wide range of inspiring missions—and we’re excited to build on this momentum as we work with new nonprofits this year:
Daniel
For over 140 years, Daniel has improved the lives of Florida’s at-risk children and families through services such as foster care, adoption, community-based programs and residential services.
To commemorate their 140-year milestone in their annual match campaign, the nonprofit sought to raise $140,000 to keep their mission going strong. Running in October, the campaign inspired community support, and the Delores Barr Weaves Legacy Funds matched $50,000 of donations to maximize the campaign’s impact. We were honored to collaborate with Daniel to help amplify their message and drive engagement. Our contributions included a day-long photoshoot to refresh their content library, creative development, social media strategy, training and execution, and communications services.
Thank you so much for all you have done for Daniel. It’s been so great working with the entire Dalton team for the past three months. We appreciate all the effort you have put into this and we are so happy with the results. Thank you so much for selecting Daniel as the Dalton Care recipient!
– Dave Cognetta, Chief Development Officer for Daniel
Thanks to the dedication of the Daniel team and the generosity of their supporters, they surpassed their goal, raising over $182,000 to improve the odds for kids.
We’re thrilled to have been part of their milestone and look forward to seeing the continued impact Daniel Kids will make on the lives of children and families.
Nashville Public Library Foundation
The Nashville Public Library Foundation (NPLF) funds programs that enhance literacy, life skills and community connection beyond government support to ensure the Nashville Public Library (NPL) remains a dynamic resource for all Nashville residents.
This year, the NPLFis launching Begin Bright, an expansion of its award-winning Bringing Books to Life early literacy program. Begin Bright builds on the success of the original program by providing additional tools and activities for teachers, young children and their families, furthering the library’s commitment to early literacy and enhancing its broader educational impact.
Our team is proud to partner with NPLF in supporting their new initiative through the end of the year, providing marketing and communications services including email marketing, donor outreach materials and social media content.
We’re excited to see this initiative unfold and the lasting impact it will have on the Nashville community.
Rescuing Hope
Rescuing Hope, an Atlanta-based nonprofit working to eradicate sex trafficking, hosted its 7th annual An Evening of Hope gala, where it launched Hope Academy, a program equipping survivors with education and vocational training for stable careers. The gala also marked its highest attendance to date–Dalton supported the milestone and program launch with communications services, including developing press materials and conducting media outreach.
We look forward to continuing our support for Rescuing Hope through ongoing efforts in the year ahead!
As we wrap up this year’s efforts, we’re filled with gratitude for the organizations and communities we’ve been fortunate to support. Giving Tuesday challenges us to think of generosity as more than monetary, it’s about making a difference with our time, talents and hearts. Whether it’s the dedication shown by our REACH and DIG teams organizing diaper and back-to-school drives, or the ongoing support we’ve provided to local organizations, taking care of our communities–and each other–has been a part of who we are since the beginning.
