Dalton Announces New Brand Identity and Agency Partners
Evolution reflects the agency’s transformation and growth strategy
Dalton, an international award-winning brand and communications agency operating in Atlanta, Jacksonville and Nashville, announced a brand refresh inspired by the company’s values, growth and future expansion. The agency’s new positioning statement, “We get people,” reflects the company’s commitment to understanding their clients’ businesses and ability to develop deep connections with their audiences.
“We really lean into the human element of why people connect and how you can do great work and have good relationships and have fun and be happy with your clients,” said Brendan Cumiskey, president at Dalton, in an interview with Jacksonville Business Journal.
The brand identity honors the vision for a fiercely independent firm founded by Jim Dalton in 1989. Today, the agency has nearly 100 employees who serve clients across countless industries locally, nationally and internationally. Mr. Dalton serves as chairman for the firm, continuing to play an active role in day-to-day client activities. Mr. Dalton and Michael Munz, business development and management executive for the agency, both continue to foster the agency’s second-generation leadership team and grow the business. They have cultivated this group, many of whom have been with the agency for more than a decade and are now partners.
“We’ve earned the reputation for looking ahead and evolving our business. Expanding the leadership team is another way we’re building for the future—ensuring cohesive guidance and growing to better serve our clients’ needs,” said Dalton.
As part of the long-term strategic plan, Dalton expanded its executive team and partners to include:
- Bill Coontz, CEO
- Brendan Cumiskey, President
- Pat McKinney, Chief Creative Officer
- Tony Drake, Chief Financial Officer
- Carly Bauer, SVP, Paid Media
- Chris Conte, SVP, Creative Services
- Ellen Repasky, SVP, Account Management
- Heather Houston, SVP, Public Relations and Communications
- Jeremy Nettles, SVP, Social Media
- Jessica Howard, SVP, Integrated Communications
Collectively, this group helped the agency evolve its capabilities and expand its footprint through both organic growth and acquisitions. Today, Dalton is one of the largest independent agencies in the Southeast. Services include branding, advertising, public relations and communications, paid media, social media, content creation, video production, website development, experiential design, corporate shows and events, and market research.
“This is an important moment for the agency. With an experienced team and a wide range of capabilities, Dalton is well-positioned for growth,” said CEO Bill Coontz. “While continuing to deliver service beyond expectations, we are focused on growing our diverse portfolio and helping more clients succeed by engaging their audiences in a significant way.”
