Dalton PR & Comms Leader Heather Houston Named 2023 40 Under 40 Honoree by Jacksonville Business Journal
After a record number of nominations, Heather Houston, our Senior Vice President of Public Relations and Communications, has been recognized as a 2023 “40 Under 40” honoree by the Jacksonville Business Journal. This recognition underscores her unwavering dedication to the agency, our clients and the Northeast Florida community.
In addition to her professional achievements, Heather has played an active role in her community for many years. Since 2012, she has been an integral part of The Women’s Board of Wolfson Children’s Hospital–an organization dedicated to supporting the hospital through fundraising and awareness initiatives– contributing through leadership roles and support for signature events like the Winter Design Show and the Florida Forum. In 2022, as PR Chair for the Winter Design Show, Heather orchestrated marketing efforts spanning media relations, influencer engagement, social media, and digital advertising. She also pioneered the organization’s first blog to raise awareness about significant events and patient stories.
Heather has been part of Leadership Florida since 2013, serving on statewide selection committees and branding committees and holding roles like Communications Chair for the Northeast Regional Council. Her community involvement also extends to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, where she serves on its vestry.
“To help the next generation of leaders, it is important to demonstrate accountability and authenticity,” Heather shared in an interview with the business journal. “It is important to deliver on what you say and admit when you miss the mark.”
Notably, her career milestone of becoming a partner/owner at Dalton reflects her exceptional contributions and the agency’s pride in her achievements.
