Dalton Agency’s Brendan Cumiskey Named President of AMIN Worldwide’s North American Network
The Jacksonville executive moves into AMIN North America’s top role to lead network of over 30 independent agencies
The Advertising and Marketing Independent Network (AMIN Worldwide), a global alliance of independently owned advertising and marketing agencies, named Dalton Agency President Brendan Cumiskey president of AMIN North America. Executives from 33 independent agencies across North America elected Cumiskey to the role.
“As a long-time board member, Brendan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our network,” said Kristi Anderson, global executive director of AMIN Worldwide. “We’re thrilled he is taking the helm for the North American region, and we can’t wait to continue strengthening AMIN’s connections and fuel member agency growth.”
Cumiskey will lead AMIN’s North American operations and oversee the region’s board meetings and committees while helping strengthen AMIN Worldwide’s global presence.
“Dalton’s decision to join the AMIN network was a defining moment,” said Cumiskey. “While agencies often compete against one another, this organization allows us to collaborate and share best practices, which has been a great experience for me and the entire leadership team at Dalton. I look forward to continuing AMIN’s mission to connect independent agencies and help members compete on a global scale.”
As consolidation reshapes the marketing industry, agency independence has become a more important differentiator. Many mid-size and large agencies are now owned by global holding companies, where decisions are often made by executives far removed from client relationships. AMIN gives independent agencies access to a global network and shared resources so they can compete in a crowded market while keeping their decision-making and operations in-house.
Cumiskey joined the board of AMIN North America in 2022 and previously served as chair of AMIN’s Membership and Engagement Committee for three years before being named vice president. In his tenure as chair, Cumiskey helped launch an ambassador program to empower professionals within member agencies to champion the network and helped plan the annual global AMIN awards, which recognizes members’ most creative and collaborative work. Cumiskey, who began working at Dalton Agency as an intern, now serves as President after dedicating more than 20 years in the account management and strategy departments.
